Since 1900, diverse groups both local and international have enjoyed the great atmosphere Camp Shady Brook has to offer. Choose from over 20 programming options and add any personal touches you would like to create the ideal retreat for your family reunion, wedding, interest group or church event.

Outdoor Education

School groups have been utilizing Camp Shady Brook for educational retreats since 1948. Whether you are bringing your 5th grade class to participate in one of our outdoor education lessons or a high school leadership retreat working on the high ropes course, all are bound to enjoy their unique outdoor experience. Hand pick the activities that best suit your educational goals. Camp Shady Brook is happy to help your teaching staff meet the Colorado state education standard.

Family Reunions

Camp Shady Brook is the perfect retreat location for family reunions and gatherings year round! A variety of program areas can be tailored to fit the age range and dynamics of your family. Take advantage of the opportunity to get away and reinvest in the family.

Weddings

With the Pike National Forest as a backdrop, Shady Brook is the perfect setting for a serene mountain wedding. Ample housing is available for the wedding party to enjoy an overnight stay or simply enjoy the day’s festivities.

Special Interest Groups

Whether you are looking to host your church’s Family Camp or a cultural Spring Fling, Shady Brook is the place for you. Special interest groups of all varieties and sizes are welcome to take advantage of all the facilities that Camp Shady Brook has to offer!

Corporate Outings

Camp Shady Brook offers the perfect setting for corporate retreats, conferences and company picnics. Utilize the high and low ropes courses to increase team building, and communication amongst your employees. Meeting spaces with wireless internet are available.

Reservations

Camp reservations can be made for mid-August through mid-May. You may reserve your spot up to a year in advance. Day trips and overnight options are available. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your reservation. Challenge Course Programming

Giant's Ladder
Two-person teams tackle this unique 25 foot climbing structure while fostering skills such as communication, teamwork, trust and leadership.

Low Ropes
Fixed low initiatives require groups to work as a team and communicate effectively to complete a task

High Ropes
Includes high elements 20-30 feet in the air, providing fun and challenging opportunities for leadership and building self-confidence.

Zip-line
An exciting 150-foot ride down a cable from atop one of the high ropes elements.

Challenge course programming available for half and full-day outings or as a part of an overnight retreat.
